Who said ex-lovers can’t be friends? If you think so, then look at Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput, who are setting examples with their latest actions. This morning, the look of Ankita as Jhalkari Bai from her debut film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was unveiled, and it was loved by one and all. But guess who from her past life was smitten with her picture?

Well, none other than Pavitra Rishta actress’ ex-boyfriend and her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput. Yes, you heard that right! The Kedarnath actor commented on the poster saying, “It looks absolutely great Ankita. I am extremely happy to see this. May God bless you with lots of success and happiness.”

The Pavitra Rishta couple, who were known to be one of the most adorable couples in tinsel town, sent shockwaves to fans with their break-up news in 2016. The two were reportedly in a live-in relationship for over 6 years and were also rumoured to be engaged in 2011.

Sushant Singh Rajput's Comment On Ankita's Look


In June, Ankita Lokhande had opened up about her past relationship with Sushant to DNA. During the interaction, when she was asked if the break-up with him had affected her and her work, she had replied, “Honestly, I have always been content. When I was working, I was satisfied; when I wasn’t, I was still happy. I’m okay with whatever I do. Aisa kabhi nahin tha ki mujhe yeh chahiye ya woh chahiye. I decided to take a break because I was happy with that then. It was not just for myself. I guess, the Universe wanted me to get back professionally, which is why I’m here now.  I won’t say the break-up affected my profession, though. Love and work are two separate things. You need to balance them and I’ll say I wasn’t able to do that.”
